My journey into the jewellery industry started as an apprentice goldsmith in December 1998. About a week after I finished my final exam. I had no idea what I was doing or what I got myself into…
That uncertain and insecure teenager went from the bench, to sales, to management and eventually combined all the skills obtained over a career rich with experience.
The word design is not one to be taken lightly. With it there comes a responsibility to offer each client advice born from knowledge and facts. To create a durable product and identify the clients needs and desires requires extensive experience in the industry. With every sale my drive is to produce the perfect piece without ever compromising on quality.
I embrace the challenge to provide each client with the right product for every budget. This means selling specs and not the regular salesman talk. I’ve witnessed the change in the industry over the last 20 years and learnt to make the most of technology. This resulted in infiltrating valuable bench experience into my CAD work.
At Studio 1980 you never have to make a purchase simply by clicking a button. I’m always available to customize pieces to desired specifications, offer advice and talk to you to ensure you order a quality item that can last you a lifetime. After all, I believe our belongings are there to bring us joy and make us feel fantastic, as opposed to just impressing others.
