The Six Rings Design Competition, hosted by Metcon, was part of their vision to promote sustainability in the South African jewellery industry. Neville Crosse delivered an inspiring speech on the topic which hinted at the value of community within the industry.
It’s a tremendous honour for Studio 1980 ZA to have our original Elegantly Refined design rise to the top as one of the six winners. The six winning designs were selected out of eighty entries. The winning designs were selected by David and Nina Newman, lecturers at the Tshwane University of Technology.
